I have had a 36" triple gripper for a while, and I recently purchased a 55" Shepard's crook walking staff. Both are great products beautifully finished and very sturdy. I use the cane around town, the walking staff is better for uneven terrain like trail and off trail hikes. It's also better for getting out of my 4x4 Ram 3500 which not lifted is still a long step down even with side steps. I did a custom chain wrap with 550 cord, which gives me a lanyard and 22+ feet of Paracord by just releasing the last link. I don't leave the house without one of them in my hand.
I have a beautiful custom cane that I have used almost daily, for the past six months. Not only is it a work of art it is useful when my knees hurt, or I just need a little something to steady myself with. The palm rest is ideal to lean on while my wife is shopping or whatever.
The self-defensive use of this device is a tremendous piece of mind. I have carried it with me in very non-permissive environments in South America or Canada when you are not allowed to bring weapons with you. I know I can protect myself and my wife wherever and whenever I need to.
I forgot the name of the man who took my order over the phone. But he was very helpful and efficient. I ordered 6 tips and they arrived in about 5 days. I replaced the old one with a new one and now I’m back in business.
The personal protection cane I purchased from Cane Masters is very high quality and very nicely stained. I liked it so much that I purchased a second cane.
Bought my wife the cane for a two week Mediterranean cruise, "just in case". In the middle of the trip, we had a long day (over 8 miles of walking in Rome), which hurt my wife's knees. She used the cane for the rest of the trip and loved it - sturdy but not too heavy, elegant yet casual. Your cane saved our trip!
I have several American Cane Master canes. A plain Dojo cane is ideal for personal defense training. I believe all other canes are personal preference interns of options but two things matter. One: don’t cheap out. Order all options you want and can afford. Two: if you are using it as a mobility aid have a palm rest installed.
I am proud of my canes. You will love yours too.
Dear Cane Masters,
I wanted to share my experience with the Shadow Hawk Tactical Cane, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The design and build quality are exceptional, with the cane being both lightweight and sturdy, crafted from Pure Hickory American hardwood for a solid feel. The ergonomic grip and non-slip rubber tip provide comfort and stability on various terrains.
What truly sets this cane apart is its self-defense capabilities. It's not just a practical walking aid, but a powerful tool for personal safety. The balance of reach, leverage, and control makes it highly effective in defensive situations, while remaining discreet enough for everyday use.
Whether for walking assistance or self-defense, the Shadow Hawk offers unmatched versatility. It’s a reliable, discreet, and powerful solution that gives me peace of mind.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the Shadow Hawk Tactical Cane. It’s a well-made, versatile tool that lives up to its promises. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality cane with built-in self-defense features.
Thank you for creating such an excellent product! Best regards,

I am more than happy with the new cane, it is strong and beautiful.
Took it to the VA on one of my appointments and it felt smooth and comfortable.
Several other veterans noticed it and inquired about it.
Thank you for a well made cane that I’m very proud of.
Just received my walking cane & am more than thrilled with the lightweight balance, integrity, & beautiful looks. A piece of functional art.
I’m more than pleased with this cane!
I travel frequently abroad and domestically, and always felt defenseless when doing so. At 6’5”, I needed a taller cane than most and CM accommodated me with email recommendations. Wanting the strongest material possible, I opted for the pure hickory material. I also opted for the copper base to be factory installed. (Flush with the shaft). Took about two weeks to arrive, and the quality is without equal. Worth the price?? You bet! Perfect balance and length. And with the added copper base, this piece adds power and momentum to a strike in a personal defense action. Much like having a CCW, I would strongly suggest training with your cane. And be aware that applying a strike to an attacker in the right spot could prove lethal! As with most top quality products, you only have to cry once….when you buy it! Rest assured, this is money well spent. Oh, I forgot to mention that upon its arrival, I attempted with all my strength to break it, to no avail. I would trust my cane with my life. You can too.
